* Special Marine Warning for...
Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM...
Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 1130 AM EDT.

* At 1035 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 36 nm east of Atlas Tanker, moving east at
15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
