The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Red
Flag Warning for low relative humidity and strong winds in
northeast Georgia, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM EDT
today. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Affected Area...Northeast Georgia.
* Timing...Noon to 8PM Monday.
* Winds...Northwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Gusts up to 30 mph are possible along the ridgelines and peaks
in northeast Georgia.
* Relative Humidity...25 to 30 percent.
* Temperatures...Between 70 to 75 degrees, and between 60 to 65
degrees for portions of northeast Georgia at elevation.
* Impacts...With elevated winds and low relative humidity,
extremely dangerous fire weather conditions are possible.
Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
