Details

At 724 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 12 miles west of Newport, or 18 miles north of Jacksboro,
moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and tennis ball size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Amon G Carter, Newport, and Postoak.
