Hazardous winter conditions continue.
A long period of heavy snow will bring snowfall totals of 40 to 70 cm by Saturday.
Snow, heavy at times, will continue tonight. Snow will ease slowly, continuing though Friday night. Light snow is expected Saturday.
The fresh snow is combining with winds gusting to 60 km/h to bring poor visibility in blowing snow in exposed areas.
Roads and walkways will likely be very difficult to navigate. Travel will likely be hazardous. Significant property or tree damage is possible. Roofs are at an increased risk of collapse under the weight of snow.
Avoid non-essential travel and outdoor activities. Keep roofs clear to avoid the danger of heavy snow loads.
