Significant rainfall is expected.
Locations: southwestern and parts of central New Brunswick.
Potential rainfall: 30 to 45 mm, possibly more in heaviest showers.
Time span: beginning this evening, continuing until Friday afternoon.
Remarks: An approaching low pressure system is expected to bring a period of intense rainfall. Thunderstorms may develop over some areas, producing locally heavier rainfall. There is some uncertainty as to where the highest rainfall amounts will occur, but the potential exists for significant totals over some locations.
Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas or locations with poor drainage. Creeks and smaller rivers may rise quickly and overflow their banks.
Consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the most adverse conditions. Clear storm drains and gutters of leaves and other debris in advance of the rainfall.
