...MULTI DAY RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT FOR
GUSTY WINDS AND VERY LOW HUMIDITY...
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to midnight MDT
Thursday night.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 436 and 437.
* WIND...For Wednesday, south winds 20 to 25 MPH with gusts up to
35 MPH. For Thursday, westerly to west-northwesterly winds 20 to
25 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH.
* HUMIDITY...For Wednesday, 15 to 20 percent. For Thursday, 8 to
12 percent.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a slight chance for scattered
showers and storms during Wednesday afternoon and evening. The
main concern with these storms will be gusty and erratic winds
as well as dry lightning.
