A long period of heavy snow will bring snowfall amounts of 30 to 50 cm from tonight to the end of the day Friday.

Snow will begin this evening. The heaviest snow will fall tonight and during the day Thursday.

Locally poor visibility due to blowing snow is also possible Thursday and Thursday night in open areas, such as along the shore of large lakes.

Snow will begin tapering off Friday, but light snow will continue through the weekend.

Roofs are at an increased risk of collapse under the weight of snow.

Non-essential travel should be avoided. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Keep roofs clear to avoid the danger of heavy snow loads. Prepare for some disruptions to transportation, services, and utilities.
