The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in
effect from late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In New York, St. Lawrence, Northern Adirondacks,
Adirondack High Peaks and Champlain Valley of New York. In
Vermont, Champlain Valley of Vermont and western Rutland County.

* Timing...The lowest humidities and strongest winds will occur
between 11 AM and 7 PM on Tuesday.

* WINDS...South 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, with
localized higher gusts in northern New York.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 to 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

* Impacts...If any fires were to start the weather and fuel
conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and be
difficult to contain.
