* At 449 AM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of
producing waterspouts was located 8 nm southwest of Southwest Pass
Of the Mississippi River, moving east at 40 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in injury
and damage to boats...vessels and oil rigs.
