At 19:11 on May 2, 2026, the Rui an Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for strong winds: affected by the eastward movement of the vortex, it is expected that there will be 7-9 level winds in the coastal sea area (Beiji Township, Dongshan Street) and high mountain areas of our city tonight to tomorrow, and 6-8 level winds in coastal areas (Nanbin Street, Shangwang Street, Dongshan Street, Shencheng Street, Tingtian Street, Tangxia Town). We hope that all relevant parties can do a good job in wind prevention and reinforcement, and maritime departments and coastal areas should strengthen prevention measures.

Recommandations

1. The government and relevant departments should pay timely attention to the dynamics of warning signals and carry out emergency measures to defend against strong winds in accordance with relevant regulations; 2. Safety precautions should be taken for construction sites, airports, ports, and other transportation facilities. Relevant water operations and passing ships should closely monitor the dynamics of strong winds and seek shelter in safe areas or take effective measures to resist them; 3. Personnel in dangerous areas should evacuate in a timely manner and stop high-altitude operations; 4. Personnel should try to minimize going out and properly place window sills, balconies, and outdoor storage items.
