Blizzard possible Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

A low pressure system will approach the Kivalliq coast from the east through the day on Sunday. Strong northeasterly winds will develop by Sunday afternoon along with potentially up to 10 cm of fresh falling snow. The winds and snow will ease Monday morning.

Visibility reductions will occur, but due to the mild temperatures and unusual track of the system, confidence in sustained blizzard conditions is low to moderate at this time. This watch will be upgraded to a blizzard warning if warranted as the system develops.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Travel delays and/or cancellations are possible.

Consider rescheduling travel and outdoor activities.

Winter Storm Watches are issued when hazardous winter weather conditions are possible.
