Special Weather Statement issued April 22 at 2:01PM EDT by NWS Albany NY
Détails
The combination of dry fine fuels, gusty northwesterly winds up to
25 mph and minimum relative humidity values between 25 and 35
percent will contribute to an elevated risk for fire spread on
Thursday for portions of the Upper Hudson Valley, including
Washington, Warren and Saratoga Counties. The lowest relative
humidity values and strongest winds will likely occur in the mid
afternoon hours.
As a reminder, the annual statewide burn ban is in effect until
May 14. No burn permits are issued. Use extra caution if handling
any potential ignition sources such as machinery or matches and
ensure to properly extinguish or dispose of cigarette butts.
Please refer to the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation website for more information on burn restrictions.
