* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between
4 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could result
in power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest wind will continue through the
afternoon. Afterwards, wind gusts will remain elevated, up to 45
mph through Thursday afternoon. Temperatures on Thursday will warm
into the low to mid 30s and while there will be some blowing snow,
the impacts should be less.

Recommandations

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.
