At 107 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mount Vernon,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Aurora, Mount Vernon, Marionville, Pierce City, Miller, Verona,
Stotts City, Halltown, Freistatt, Hoberg, Chesapeake, and Red Oak.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 33 and 58.
Recommandations
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
