* WHAT...Northeast winds 35 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt and
seas 11 to 16 feet.
* WHERE...Yap Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...Through at least Saturday morning, or longer if
conditions warrant.
* IMPACTS...Very strong winds will cause hazardous seas which
could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm Hagupit (05W) is currently
forecast to move through or just south of Yap Proper overnight
and tropical storm force winds are expected through Saturday
morning. As Hagupit moves west of Yap Saturday afternoon,
hazardous conditions for small craft are still expected to
persist through Saturday night.
