...The National Weather Service in New Orleans LA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Louisiana...
Tangipahoa River Near Kentwood affecting Tangipahoa Parish.
For the Tangipahoa River...including Osyka, Kentwood, Tangi. River
near Tickfaw, Amite, Robert...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Tangipahoa River near Kentwood.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Pasture land, woodlands, and farms in low
lying areas will be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight and continue rising to a crest of
14.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. The river is expected to
fall below flood stage early Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
