* Until 1000 AM CDT.
* At 826 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 18 nm east of Ship Shoal 198, or 25 nm
south of Isle Derniers, moving east at 10 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in injury
and damage to boats...vessels and oil rigs.
* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
