A long period of heavy snow will bring snowfall amounts of 40 to 70 cm by Saturday.
Snow will continue to intensify this morning, with heavy snow expected through the day on Friday and into the overnight period.
Strong easterly winds gusting 70 to 80 km/h will begin late this afternoon. Near zero visibility in blowing snow and falling snow, producing blizzard conditions are expected. Strong winds and blizzard conditions will begin to ease Friday afternoon.
Snow will begin tapering off Friday night, but light snow will continue through the weekend.
Travel will likely be hazardous. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Significant property or tree damage is possible.
Prepare for disruptions to transportation, services and utilities.
