* Special Marine Warning for...
Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20
to 60 NM...
Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60
NM...
* Until 145 PM EDT.
* At 1242 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line extending from 6 nm southeast
of Wreck 33 to near City Of Houston to 9 nm southwest of Frying Pan
Shoals Buoy, moving southeast at 15 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Frying Pan Shoals Buoy, Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower, City Of
Houston, and Wreck 33.
