At 10:06 am on September 9, 2026, the Korla Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning: it is expected that from day to night, there will be lightning strikes in the urban area of Korla, Shanghu Town, Quli Town, Tashidian Town, Heshelike Township, Tobuliqi Township, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xinier Town, Awati Township, Baotou Lake Farm, Puhui Township, Harayugong Town and other places, which may cause lightning disasters and accidents, accompanied by local short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorm winds of level 8 or above, hail and other strong convective weather.
