At 10:35 am on September 9, 2026, the Macheng Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning signal for strong winds: Due to the influence of cold air, it is expected that most towns (streets) in Macheng will experience northerly winds of level 4 to 5, gusts of level 6 to 7, and gusts of level 8 or above around rivers, reservoirs, and mountains on the night of September 9 to 10.
