The Meteorological Observatory of Yanqi Hui Autonomous County issued a yellow warning signal for lightning at 11:05 am on September 9, 2026: It is expected that from day to night, there will be lightning strikes in Yanqi Town, Yongning Town, Qigexing Town, Shilichengzi Town, Wuhaoqu Township, Beidaqu Township, Baoerhai Township, Chahan Caikai Township, Liangzhongchang and the Huola Mountain area, accompanied by local short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorm winds of level 8 or above, hail and other strong convective weather.
