* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 930 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry washes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 636 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms between Sierra Vista and Saint David . This will
cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5
inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Babocomari River, Escalante Wash, San Pedro River, Walnut Gulch,
Willow Wash and Clifford Wash. Additional rainfall amounts up to
1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sierra Vista, Whetstone, Huachuca City, Fairbank and Charleston.
- This includes the following highways...
Route 90 near mile marker 312...and between mile markers 319 and
324. Route 80 between mile markers 306 and 313. Route 82 between
mile markers 52 and 66.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
