At 1129 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of
Marietta to 7 miles southeast of Athens. Movement was southeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, Elizabeth, Racine, Coolville, Forked
Run State Park, Vienna, Ravenswood, Williamstown, Washington,
Mineralwells, Tuppers Plains, Lubeck, Boaz, Chester, North Hills,
Lowell, Cairo, and Portland.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 147 and 186.
Interstate 77 in Ohio between mile markers 1 and 11.
Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 30.
