For the following areas...
Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound...
At 631 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near East Bay, or 16 nm west of Mary Esther, moving
northeast at 20 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Navarre Beach, Escambia Bay Bridge, Blackwater Bay Bridge, East Bay,
Escambia Bay, and Garcon Point Bridge.
