Подробнее

The combination of temperatures warming into the lower to mid 90s
with moderate levels of humidity will produce heat indices near 105
this afternoon across much of the South Carolina Lowcountry and
Southeast Georgia. Those participating in outside September 11th
memorial activities should be prepared for this level of heat and
humidity today.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will produce relief in some areas
later today. Cloud-to-ground lightning will pose a risk to anyone
caught outdoors. Be prepared to seek shelter should thunderstorms
approach. Remember, When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors!

Рекомендации

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle should thunderstorms approach.
