* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Campbell County in central Virginia...
* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches and hour are likely.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Big Otter River, Falling River, Buttom Creek, Naked Creek, Little
Whipping Creek, Little Falling River, Hat Creek, Cheese Creek,
Bear Creek, Lawsons Creek and Hickory Creek. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
