Rain, at times heavy, and thunderstorms tonight.

What:
Total local rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm.
Peak rainfall rates of 40 mm in an hour.

When:
Continuing through tonight.

Additional information:
Rainfall amounts will be highly variable across the region. The highest rainfall totals are likely to occur in a narrow corridor between Atikokan and Upsala where as of 9 p.m. CDT radar estimates that 50 to 75 mm has already fallen.

Rain will taper to scattered showers from west to east overnight.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.

Don't drive through flooded roadways. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
