At 1034 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles northeast of Capitol Reef National Park, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hanksville, Capitol Reef National Park, and Caineville.
This includes the following highways...
Utah Route 24 near mile marker 89, and between mile markers 91 and
119.
Utah Route 95 between mile markers 0 and 18.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
