At 1119 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Salt River Tubing Recreation Area, or 9 miles north of Apache
Junction. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Saguaro Lake, Usery Mountain Park, Salt River Tubing Recreation Area,
and Goldfield Ranch.
This includes AZ Route 87 between mile markers 193 and 197.
