The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 315 PM MST.

* At 1210 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area which includes Avra Valley,
Picture Rocks, Tucson Estates to locales east of Three Points.
Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Marana, Drexel Heights, Three Points, Avra Valley, Pascua Pueblo
Yaqui Reservation, Tucson Estates, Saguaro National Park West,
Tucson Mountain Park, Valencia West, Picture Rocks and Ryan
AirField.

This includes Route 86 between mile markers 152 and 167.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Manville Rd at Brawley Wash, Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and
Sandario and Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Blanco Wash, Santa Cruz River, Soto Wash, Demetrie Wash, Aguirre
Wash, Pan Tak Wash, Banner Wash, Cocio Wash, South Mendoza Wash,
Robles Wash, Los, Brawley Wash, Viopuli Wash, Altar Wash, West
Branch Santa Cruz River and Champurrado Wash.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
