The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...This includes the
Colorado River between river miles 113 and 154.
* Until 515 PM MST.
* At 214 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across a large area of northwest Coconino County,
including several drainages in the Grand Canyon that flow into the
Colorado River. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, and
normally dry washes.

muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.
Get out of washes and creeks if you are camping or hiking! Flooding
