High river levels today may lead to flooding.

Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Shrewsbury to Upper Arley. Locations that may be affected are White Abbey, Coalbrookdale, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. River Severn bankfull at White Abbey, floodplain may be filling at Hayes Basin. Crew Green peaked overnight at 4.99m. Additional rainfall is forecast today which is expected to increase river levels and may exceed the flood alert thresholds again in this area. This additional rainfall may also impact other gauge locations in this area.
