What: Freezing rain, heavy at times, with amounts possibly exceeding 5 mm.

When: Continuing today through this evening.

Where: Central Manitoba and east-central Saskatchewan.

Remarks: A major spring storm will give rain, freezing rain and heavy snow to central Manitoba. The freezing rain will end tonight.

Travel will likely be hazardous and some routes will likely be impassable. Prolonged utility outages are likely.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
