At 14:04 on the 23rd, the Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory resolved the rainstorm and thunderstorm gale warning signals: in the past 7 hours, moderate to strong thunderstorms occurred in our city, with the average rainfall of 30.9 mm in the city, 9 stations (1.5%) with rainfall between 100 mm and 250 mm, 56 stations (9.3%) with rainfall between 50 mm and 100 mm, and 287 stations (47.7%) with rainfall between 25 mm and 50 mm. Among them, Zhengguo Town in Zengcheng District recorded the city s maximum accumulated rainfall of 116.1 millimeters, and Xiaolou Town in Zengcheng District recorded the city s maximum gust of 17.6 meters per second (level 8); Xingang Street in Haizhu District recorded the maximum accumulated rainfall of 42.4 millimeters in the urban area, while Meihua Village Street in Yuexiu District recorded the maximum gust of 16 meters per second (level 7) in the urban area. At present, thunderstorm clouds have moved out of the urban area of Guangzhou. From 14:04 on the 23rd, the yellow warning signal of rainstorm and thunderstorm gale in Yuexiu District and Tianhe District of Guangzhou was lifted.
