Details

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
until 5 PM CDT this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning has also been
issued from noon to 9 PM CDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, North St. Louis, Central St.
Louis, Carlton and South St. Louis and Pine.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

Recommendations

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
