...The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Michigan...
Sturgeon River near Nahma Junction affecting Delta County.
.Heavy rain has fallen on a deep primed snowpack leading to the
snowmelt increasing. Flows in rivers could continue to increase
quickly and reach critical levels.
* WHAT...Elevated river levels caused by rain and snowmelt are
occurring.
* WHERE...Sturgeon River near Nahma Junction.
* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Water overflows the banks along the river
At 10.0 feet, Water floods low lying areas along the river. This
may include...parts of the Flowing Well Campground downstream of
gauge site and the tenmile rapids canoe launch upstream of the
gauge site.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:45 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 8.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
