Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected.

A potent low pressure system will impact parts of the Kivalliq region on Monday and Tuesday.

Hazard: Blizzard conditions due to moderate snow combined with winds gusting between 80 to 100 km/h.

Timing: Beginning Monday afternoon and ending late Tuesday.

Remarks: Confidence is increasing regarding the track and development of this system. Wind warnings may also be issued for some townsites for the wind gusts that exceed warning criteria.

Travel will be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Limit travel and outdoor activities, if possible. Protect yourself from wind, cold and disorientation by staying sheltered, indoors or with your vehicle.
