* WHAT...Typhoon Warning. Tropical storm force winds of 40 to
60 kt, with typhoon force winds of 64 kt or greater later
this morning. Seas are building to 30 feet or more.

* WHERE...Rota, Tinian, and Saipan Coastal Waters.

* WHEN...Through at least Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be catastrophic for small craft and
extremely dangerous for large vessels. Seek safe harbor.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical storm winds are occurring with
typhoon winds later today. The past few forecasts keep the
strongest winds around Tinian and Saipan.

Recommendations

A typhoon warning means sustained winds of 64 kt or 74 mph or
greater are expected.
