* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Michigan, including the
following county, Mason.

* WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 207 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches have
been observed in the warning area, with additional rainfall
of up to 1 inch possible. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ludington, Scottville, Fountain, Free Soil, Hamlin Lake,
Ludington SP, Custer and Walhalla.

Recommendations

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
