...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Michigan...Wisconsin...

Menominee River near Niagara affecting Menominee, Florence,
Marinette and Dickinson Counties.

Menominee River near Vulcan affecting Menominee, Marinette and
Dickinson Counties.

For the Menominee River...including Florence, Twin Falls Dam-Iron
Mountain, Vulcan, and Niagara...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Menominee River near Vulcan.

* WHEN...Until Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Structures along the river along Homestead
Road and Sturgeon Way Road may start to be impacted by flood
waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 12:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5 feet
Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Monday
morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4
feet on 04/27/1996.

Recommendations

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
