...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Rock River at Latham Park affecting Winnebago County.
For the Rock River...including Latham Park...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rock River from Swanson Road in Roscoe downstream to
Shorewood Park in Loves Park, including the Latham Park gauge.
* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Property and trails near the boat ramp at
Bauer Parkway are threatened. Illinois DNR considers closure of
the Rock River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning and continue rising to a crest of 10.0 feet
Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

Recommendations
A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.

rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may
cause changes to these river forecasts.
