...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Wisconsin...
Wolf River at New London affecting Winnebago, Waupaca and Outagamie
Counties.
For the Lower Wolf River...including Shiocton, New London, Lake
Poygan...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Wolf River at New London.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Widespread flooding of shoreline property
is occurring from the New London area to Lake Poygan. Water reaches
the top of the retaining wall in New London.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:00 PM CDT Thursday was 11.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.8 feet
just after midnight tonight, before remaining steady through the
weekend, then slowly receding next week.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.8
feet on 04/03/1979.

Recommendations
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
