* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 expected.

* WHERE...Cheyenne CO, Kit Carson, and Yuma Counties.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to a warm early spring, green-up is
occurring 2 to 4 weeks earlier than climatological normals and the
growing season has begun.

Recommendations

Drain in-ground sprinkler systems and cover above ground pipes.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; insulate or drain or allow
them to drip slowly.
