At 15:13 on April 17, 2026, the Bole Meteorological Observatory issued an orange hail warning signal: it is expected that there will be a high possibility of hail in the northern part of the line from Xiaoyingpan Town to Utubara Town in Bole City from this afternoon to night, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds and other severe convective weather. Relevant units and personnel are requested to be prepared for prevention.

Recommendations

1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out emergency measures to prevent hail in accordance with their responsibilities; 2. The meteorological department shall prepare for artificial hail suppression operations and carry out operations at appropriate times; 3. Outdoor pedestrians should immediately take shelter in a safe place; 4. Drive away poultry and livestock into covered areas, and properly protect outdoor items or equipment such as cars that are susceptible to hail attacks; 5. Pay attention to defending against lightning disasters accompanied by hail weather.
