...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Michigan...

Thornapple River Near Caledonia affecting Kent County.

.Numerous rounds of recent heavy rains continue to work through the
river systems. Major flooding continues on the Muskegon River, with
minor to moderate flooding on certain sections of the Grand River
and other smaller rivers. One final round of rain moves through late
tonight and adds an additional one-half inch or so of rain to most
areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Thornapple River near Caledonia.

* WHEN...From this morning to early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor flooding of low lying areas occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 9.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 10.5 feet Sunday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.3 feet on 12/28/2008.

Recommendations

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
