The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
South Central Marathon County in central Wisconsin...
Northwestern Wood County in central Wisconsin...

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Marshfield, Hewitt, Auburndale, Arpin, Bethel, Powers Bluff County
Park, North Wood County Park, Bakerville, Nasonville, Rozellville,
Lindsey and Big Eau Pleine County Park.

Hemlock Creek, Wild Creek, Cat Creek, Mill Creek, Freeman Creek,
Yellow River, Wisconsin River, Little Hemlock Creek, Scheuer Creek,
East Fork Black River, Squaw Creek, Beaver Creek, Little Bear
Creek, South Branch Yellow River, Hay Creek, East Fork Hemlock
Creek, Rocky Run, Puff Creek and East Branch Yellow River.

Recommendations

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
