Details
At 409 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Wausau to 11 miles southwest of Mosinee, or along a line from
over Wausau to 14 miles northwest of Stevens Point, moving northeast
at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will be near...
Wausau, Weston, Rib Mountain and Mosinee around 410 PM CDT. Bevent
around 435 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Dancy,
Knowlton, Camp Phillips Scout Camp, Schofield, Peplin, Rothschild,
Rib Mountain State Park, Junction City, Evergreen and Milladore.
Recommendations
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT Friday for a
portion of central Wisconsin.
