...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM MDT
THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE
WEATHER ZONES 322 AND 326...

.Mild and dry today with highs in the 50s and humidities dropping
to as low as 15%. Northwest winds will increase through the
morning hours with gusts of up to 45 mph through the afternoon
hours. The combination of dry and windy conditions along with dry
fuels will create critical fire weather conditions this afternoon
into early this evening.

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a Red Flag
Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM MDT this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 322 Fall River County Area
and 326 Pine Ridge Area.

* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...The combination of gusty winds and low relative
humidity would produce critical fire weather conditions.

Recommendations

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
