Qingdao Meteorological Observatory issues orange warning for heavy fog [Level II/Severe]

At 16:30 on April 18, 2026, the Qingdao Meteorological Observatory continued to issue orange warning signals for heavy fog in Shinan and Shibei districts: it is expected that from tonight to tomorrow, some streets in Shinan and Shibei districts, as well as the southern waters of the city and Jiaozhou Bay, will still experience heavy fog with visibility less than 200 meters and local visibility less than 50 meters. Please take precautions.

Recommendations

1. Relevant departments and units shall carry out anti fog work in accordance with their responsibilities; 2. Strengthen dispatch and command of units such as highways and ferry terminals; 3. Drivers must strictly control the speed of the vehicle or ship; 4. Reduce outdoor activities.
